Photos: UNIBEN MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR THE 2015/2016 ACADEMIC SESSION
The matriculation programme was kickstarted by the entry of the Vice Chancellor procession led by the Vice Chancellor himself, Prof. F.F.O. Orumwense.
After the singing of the Uniben Anthem, the Deputy Registrar represented by Mr Idemudia introduced the Vice Chancellor and his entourage. this includes the Deputy Vice Chancellors; Administration, Academic and Ekenwan, the Busar, Librarian , the Dean of students affairs.

The Registrar then calls on the Vice Chancellor, Prof. F.F.O. Orumwense, to declare the matriculation open.
The Vice Chancellor, by the powers conferred on him then admitted the students into full membership of the university. Some selected students from across all faculties were invited to sign the matriculation register.

The Vice Chancellor, in his opening speech, on behalf of senate, staff and students of the university, welcomed all to this year’s matriculation. He congratulated all the 10,333 applicants that have been admitted into the school for the 2015 2016 session.
He encouraged the matriculants to be obedient to already established rules and regulations. He also urged them to shun vices such as cultism, prostitution, armed robbery throughout their stay in the university and beyond.
He encouraged them not to disappoint their parents who have invested so much on them and encouraged them to participate in social activities such as sports.
The registrar then invited the Vice Chancellor to declare the matriculation programme closed.
