MEET THE NEW DEAN OF SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES, UNIVERSITY OF BENIN.

He’s PROF FELIX OKIEIMEN. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin (1976). 
He was among
the ten (10) students who were the pioneering set of Industrial
Chemistry graduates from any Nigerian University.

Prof. Okieimen
is a former; Deputy Vice Chancellor of UNIBEN, President, Materials
Science and Technology Society(2006-2010), President, Chemical Society of Nigeria (2007-2011). He’s the President of Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria. 

He has served as consulting chemist, project leader and training
coordinator to several environmental service companies, including
Thermosteel Nigeria Ltd, Jacobs Well & Tools Service Ltd, Watewell
Services Nigeria Ltd and as waste management adviser to Shell Petroleum
Development Company.
Prof Okieimen is listed in the Who is Who in
Nigeria & Who is Who in Science & Technology. As a pacesetter,
he was the first alumnus to deliver the University of Benin Founder’s
Day Lecture after it was pronounced by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. F.F.O
Orumwense in 2015 that only alumni would deliver the lecture from
henceforth.
